12:17 pm - Winter viewing

So thrilled with the illustrations Alisa has commissioned for the collection. Especially the cover which echoes my own vision so closely. I can’t wait to share them.

Started watching my Kimba DVD set today. I’d forgotten how funny bits of it were. Looking forward to some good viewing through winter. Have The Tudors, Spooks, BSG: The Plan locked and loaded, plus Tru Blood, Leverage and Fringe due to come out.

10:20 am - Lots of 'Ands'

The US edition (Nightshade Books) of Dark Space has been listed on Amazon.com. Would love to know what the SC stands for???? Anyone have any ideas?

And Mark Chitty at Walker of the Worlds had kindly mentioned the Glitter Rose collection which can now be ordered internationally.

AAAAnnndd… some good news over at my Tara Sharp site.

And on FB people are telling me about their first published pieces. It’s so interesting…

11:03 pm - Tara Sharp 2 blurb

Things are looking up for Tara Sharp. The boss of a motorcycle racing team has put her on retainer to find out who’s been sabotaging his bike ahead of a big race.

And the very wealthy “Madam” Vine wants her girls coached on how to better read their clients. But while Tara’s enjoying a few silver linings, more grey clouds are gathering.

Wal, her narcoleptic security chief is suddenly homeless, and word is that local gang lord Johnny Vogue, has bought a hitman to town to clean up some of his unfinished business. With their previous history, Tara has a fair idea that means her. Working hard and dodging bullets is something she’s getting damn good at.

09:21 pm - Phew...
Well it's been a big month. Two Supanova's attended, finished my second crime novel and started exercising again. This month has been a deadline intersection of a whole lot of work that was delayed because of my surgery, so I'm really pleased to have achieved what I needed to do.

Now I'm looking forward to polishing my new Straddie story for Alisa.

Lots of blogging been going on at Marianne Delacourt and Burn Bright and Amy has interviewed me about which novel I'm most proud of, and how to pronounce certain names from my stories.

Thanks for all the encouragement from Facebook and blog friends. I love this connected world!

06:01 pm - The Glitter Rose collection

The Glitter Rose collection which features my interlinked stories set on Carmine Island (a whimsical extrapolation of my time living on Stradbroke Island) is now available for pre-order from Twelfth Planet Press. This book will be a hardcover, limited edition with internal illustrations and a preface by Trent Jamieson. This is collectors item, and something I’ll only do once. The stories are my homage to two authors who entranced me with the tragic romance of their stories; Ballard (Vermilion Sands) and Dowling (Twilight Beach).

10:52 am - Website revamp and e-book news

The MDP website revamp is officially underway and I’m very excited about it. I’m moving to wordpress and it will have some new, improved features. I’ll be retaining most of the current pages as well.

Meanwhile, I’ve spied the first e-book listings for my books at Books on Board.

Also, my newsletter will finally get a proper professional look which will make Belinda happy.

11:03 am - Triad League and Good Reads
The Triad League is an innovative new group who've adapted Pyramid from Battlestar Galactica and turned it into a real working game. You can find out all about it at their website. It's VERY cool.

And while you're swanning around Facebook, feel free to join the Marianne de Pierres Good Reads fan club that's just been started (no, not by me!)

Off to Melbourne SOON for Supanova part two. YAY!
